• Generating Ideas
We draw on the experience of our whole team to generate ideas. We balance creative industrial design flair with engineering practicality. Often the best ideas arrive spontaneously and we will facilitate brainstorming sessions with our clients. We also use more systematic techniques to be confident we’ve not missed anything.
• Conceptualising
The ideas are developed into concepts. We will explore the concepts initially through sketching and rendering. We then build up physical mock ups to explore the form. Working prototypes are made to prove functional principles. The aim at this stage is to move quickly and explore lots of concepts without becoming too attached to any one solution.
• Visualisation
As the concepts are refined and evaluated more detailed and realistic images are required both for our own assessment and for presentation to other stakeholders. Photorealistic renderings at this stage can be inspiring for the client and create a lot of excitement for potential investors.
• Model making
It’s important to get prototypes into the hands of the users so that they can assess the look and feel of the product and judge how it will perform. Adept has a range of in-house prototyping services including CNC machining and rapid prototyping and we work with key partners to access other specialised prototyping services.
