• Injection Moulding
Adept produces highly engineered components and assemblies by injection moulding thermoplastic resins. We specialize in processing engineering polymers (e.g. polyester, acetal, polycarbonate, nylon, polypropylene, polysulfone and acrylic) filled polymers (e.g. glass-filled nylon) and alloys (e.g. fire-retardant ABS-polycarbonate). Our facility is capable of creating moulded components from 0.1 gram to 4000 grams in weight (30 tonne to 530 tonne clamp force) with exceptionally accurate shot-to-shot repeatability.
The integration with design and tooling facilities enable tool modification and maintenance to be completed seamlessly. Consistent quality is assured through our well established quality management system certified to ISO9001:2000, achieved in 1993.
• Medical Facilities
Clean room manufacturing. Adept also works alongside its sister company Adept Medical which meets the requirements of GMP and FDA QSR, and is certified to ISO13485, MDD93/42 EEC and CMDCAS. The system is audited externally on an annual basis by SGS UK Limited. We can hermetically seal injection moulding machines for clean production and can assemble medical products in our class C clean room.
• Secondary Processes
In addition to injection molding, our facility contains an assembly department that performs work such as assembly, drilling, milling and pad printing. We have the capability to anneal plastic moldings using our hot-air oven.
• Logistics
Our location, next to Auckland’s CBD, makes us close to major NZ transport lines for quick national dispatch and close to the airport and ports for international dispatch. This, combined with our efficient production planning and warehousing, enables us to offer 'Just In Time' supply.
